Article VI - Mini Rec Division Rules
Section I—Age of the players
Players 7 and 8 years old as of July 1st, 2010. Exception: if the player turns 9 between January 1st, 2010 and June 30th, 2010 and is 60 lbs or less.
6 year olds may move up to the Juniors, but only with written permission from the Commissioner, and may not move back down once doing so.
Section II—Weight requirements

Players who weigh 90 pounds or less are unlimited by position.

Players 91 – 110 will be stickered GREEN and are only eligible to play on the offensive and defensive lines (from Tight End to Tight End). They may not handle or advance the ball with the exception of the center position.

Players 111 and over will be stickered RED and are only eligible to play on the offensive line (from Tight End to Tight End). They may not handle or advance the ball with the exception of the center position.

If there is a change of possession by a stickered player, the official will stop play and the ball will be placed at the spot of the possession change.

Stickered players are not required to be in a down stance.

There will be a second weigh in for those who are 5 pounds over the restrictions.
Section III—Offense and Defense
Offense must be an ‘I’ formation. All offensive plays will be provided to each team by the Football Advisory Board. No other plays or variation of existing plays are allowed.
Defense must a 4-3. Corners must play 5 yards from the defensive ends, and be 5 yards back from the line of scrimmage. Safeties must be 10 yards off the line of scrimmage. There is nostunting or blitzing.
Section IV—Playing Field and Coaches
All games will be played on field #12 unless exceptions are made by the Commissioner.
Fields will be 40 yards long plus end zones.
Only two Coaches are allowed on the field for each team. Each team’s Assistant Coach will act as line judges, and each Head Coach will be back judges. Both Coaches are allowed in the huddle between plays.
Section V—Play
Each team will start on their own goal line. Quarters will be 10 minutes each with a 10 minute halftime. First downs will occur at each 10 yard marker interval.
Section III—Punts and Place Kicks
Punts will go to the goal line during stopped play, and placed by the officiating Referee. There are no place kicks or point after kicks.
Section V—Safety
There are no safeties.
Section VI—Overtime
If a regularly scheduled game ends in a tie, then the teams will enter overtime. Each team will be given the ball on the 15 yard line. A 2nd overtime and beyond will be from the 10 yard line. The teams will play until there is a winner, with each team having one possession per overtime.
Section VII—Stunting/Pulling
Stunting and pulling is not allowed.
Section VIII—Scoring
A touchdown is worth 6 points. Point after: a pass is worth 2 points. A run is worth 1 point. Place kicks are not allowed. It is up to the Head Coach of the Home team to keep the official score, and the visiting Head coach needs to sign off after the game and score must be turned into league chair or commissioners.
Each quarter will be 10 minutes running clock, (unless injury or out of bounds), with an 8 minute half time. The Visiting Head coach is required to keep the clock
